  • No. You'll only be charged the face value of the gift card. For physical gift card orders under £1,000/€1,000, you'll also be charged as follows: UK - £7.00 and ROI - €15.50. Digital gift cards have a minimum order value of £100/€100 and are sent via email with no shipping charges.

  • Gift cards need to be activated after arrival. You'll receive activation instructions with your delivery.

  • What gift card denominations can I choose from?
  • Tesco corporate gift cards come in a range of standard UK and ROI denominations. The chosen value is printed on the front of the card.

  • Can the recipient collect Tesco Clubcard points when they use their Tesco corporate gift card?
  • Absolutely. Tesco Clubcard points can be collected as normal when a gift card is used to make purchases, some exclusions apply. Sorry you can't collect points on tobacco or tobacco related products, lottery, stamps, prescription medicines, infant formulae milk, Tesco gift cards, 3rd party gift cards, saving stamps, in-store concessions, Paypoint payments or for purchases of some Tesco Bank products.   • How do I cancel my corporate gift card order?
  • To cancel all or part of your order, please contact our customer service team on 0345 6000 968 (UK) or 01 215 2526 (ROI). Cancellations can't be made once your gift cards have been activated.

  • What payment methods are accepted?
  • You can pay by cheque, bank transfer, on account, or by debit or credit card. We don't take American Express, sorry.

  • What exactly does the recipient of a digital gift card receive?
  • A digital gift card will be sent to your recipient by email. They'll be able to use the link to retrieve a Tesco digital gift card and simple instructions on how to redeem their digital gift card. They'll need to print the digital gift card or simply present the handheld device with the barcode clearly visible in-store to spend.

  • How do I check my order status and delivery?
  • Once your gift cards have shipped, you'll receive an email containing your courier shipping tracking number. You can follow your order's progress on the courier's website.

  • Can Tesco corporate gift cards be spent straightaway?
  • Gift cards need to be activated after arrival. You'll receive activation instructions with your delivery.

  • Where can Tesco corporate gift cards be spent?
  • Tesco corporate gift cards are accepted in all Tesco stores in the UK and ROI. They cannot be used online, or in Tesco UK petrol stations.

  • When do Tesco corporate gift cards expire?
  • Expiry is five years from activation or last transaction

  • Does a gift card have to be spent in one go?
  • No. If the whole amount isn't spent, the remaining balance stays on the card for five years from the last transaction.

  • Can Tesco corporate gift cards be used at self-scan checkouts?
  • Yes, you can select 'Tesco gift card' as a payment option (the same as you'd used for a personal Tesco gift card)

  • What if I have a problem using my Tesco corporate gift card?
  • Our customer service teams will be happy to help. Dial 0800 50 55 55 and choose option 5 in the UK. Or reach our ROI team on 1 850 744 844.

  • Do I need a special printer for my digital gift card? And does it have to be in colour?
  • The answer is 'no' in both cases. Most standard office and household printers will be suitable, and you don't need to print in colour. The most important thing is that the barcode is clear. If it isn't, you might need to install a new ink cartridge - or try a newer printer. Alternatively, use your mobile device at the checkout clearly showing the barcode on the screen.

  • Can I use my corporate gift card in Tesco petrol stations?
  • Tesco UK Gift Cards cannot be spent in Tesco UK petrol stations. Tesco Ireland Gift Cards can be spent in Tesco Ireland petrol stations.

  • What if someone makes a copy of my printed digital gift card?
  • We recommend you safeguard your digital gift card for your own protection. You should also make a note of your unique card number for any future queries as this will be needed to carry out any investigations.

    If you suspect that your digital gift card has been copied or stolen, please contact our customer service team as soon as possible on 03456 000 968 (UK) or 01 215 2526 (ROI) with the 19 digit card number.

  • When is my payment card charged for my purchase?
  • Your credit or debit card is charged at the time of purchase. The transaction will appear on your card statement as 'Tesco Stores Limited' or 'Tesco Ireland Limited'.

  • Corporate gift cards can be shipped to any valid street address in the UK or ROI. For your protection, we don't ship to PO boxes.

  • How are corporate gift cards delivered?
  • Your gift cards will arrive in a sealed envelope or package, via a third party courier. Also contained in the package will be an activation leaflet and order summary. Someone will need to sign for the delivery.

  • Can I change the value of a Tesco corporate gift card after purchase?

    • Credit/Activation: A credit or activation is when the gift card was first purchased. This may show as either description depending on where the card was bought

    • Point of Sale: A point of sale transaction is an action has been completed at a Tesco in-store checkout

  • Yes, you can add your Tesco Gift Card to both Apple Wallet or Google Pay. Simply follow the steps to check your balance online and once complete, you’ll be prompted with an ‘Add to Wallet’ icon to store your Tesco Gift Card. If you have a physical gift card, you can add this to your wallet by scanning the QR code underneath the security label on the reverse of the card and following the on-screen instructions.
